Admiral James Stavridis, a retired four star admiral who lead Nato as the Supreme Commander from 2009 – 2013, will offer a lecture and book signing at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Church on August 8th. He is the twelfth leader of the Fletcher School since its founding, a Fletcher PhD, a Gullian Prize Awardee, the author of six books and hundreds of articles. His 2012 Ted Talk has over 650,000 hits. He focuses on innovation, strategic communication, and planning, and creating security through international, interagency, and public/private partnerships.

Admiral Stavridis will offer a lecture and sign his new book, The Accidental Admiral. The event is open and free to the public at 111 St. Andrews Road, Southampton, NY. There will be a cocktail reception at 6:00 PM with the presentation beginning at 6:30, followed by the book signing and reception.
