Southampton – On July 13th the Seleni Institute, the Johnides Family Foundation, and the Greek Orthodox Church of the Hamptons are pleased to announce a conversation, moderated by Dr. Peter Michalos, about the importance of supporting women in the transition to motherhood.
Notable New York City obstetrician and gynecologist Ellen Manos, MD, and the Seleni Institute’s Founder and Executive Chairwoman, Nitzia Logothetis, and Clinical Director, Andrew Stephanoplous will draw from their experience and expertise to provide the best tools to support family members, friends and women in the community undergoing the unique transition to motherhood.
“We are always grateful for the opportunity to shed light on both the joys and the trials that come with the transition to motherhood,” said Seleni Institute Founder and Executive Chairwoman, Nitzia Logothetis. “Conversations like these can help family members and communities understand ways to support new mothers during this sometimes difficult period. At the Seleni Institute we are honored to provide concrete tools that support well-being for women and families.”
The Seleni Institute is a nonprofit organization founded by George and Nitzia Logothetis in 2011 to better address women’s unique mental health care needs. The Seleni Institute strives to give women empathetic, comprehensive, evidence-based reproductive and maternal mental health care (seleni.org).
