Eligibility to Vote at General Assembly This Sunday

We are looking forward to this Sunday’s general assembly at which the members of our church will be asked to vote on resolutions approving the financing and budget of the construction of our new spiritual home.  Please be advised, that in accord with the rules governing general assembly meetings and in compliance with the direction of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, one must be a member in good standing for the 2011 calendar year in order to be counted as part of the quorum and vote.

As the general assembly this Sunday is taking place relatively early in the year, many of our church family have yet to submit a stewardship pledge card to the church office.  If you made a stewardship offering in 2010, but have yet to do so in 2011, you will be able to make your stewardship pledge this Sunday prior to the vote, and therefore be counted in the quorum and eligible to vote.  Please be advised, you do not have to fulfill your pledge on Sunday in order to vote.   Stewardship cards will be available at the sign in table.

Thank you.  Looking froward to seeing you this Sunday.

* This Sunday is the Sunday of Orthodoxy.  All Altar boys are asked to make a special effort to arrive early and serve in the Altar.  All Sunday School Students are asked to bring their icons for the Sunday of Orthodoxy procession.
