Hamptons Hellenic Dancers/Rehearsals begin for Song and Dance Festival

Our very own Hampton Hellenic Dancers will participate in Parathosi, the first annual Hellenic Dance Festival of the Direct Archdiocesan District. We would like to thank the PTO of our parish and the Johnides Family Foundation for sponsoring our dancers this year.

Rehearsals for the upcoming Folk Dance Festival will begin Saturday, February 25th. Our new dance instructor, Maria Sopasis, will be holding rehearsals for GOYA at 12:00 PM and for JOY at 1:00 PM on Saturdays from the 25th until the Folk Dance Festival, April 27th-29th. Please confirm your participation in rehearsals and the Folk Dance Festival with our PTO president, Liza Soulopoulos by emailing her at sjlmk5683@aol.com.

Parathosi is program of the Direct Archdiocesan District youth ministry office and hosted by the Cathedral of St. Paul in Hempstead, New York, April. Our young people will join the youth dance groups of churches from throughout New York and Connecticut. It will be a wonderful opportunity for our young people to celebrate Greek song and dance, while strengthening existing friendships and making new ones with other Orthodox Christian children and teens. The weekend includes dance and choral performances, workshops, live traditional and modern Greek Music, and a panagiri for all registrants
