‘Parents Only’ meeting and reception, June 12

Jesus – “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul” (or wife or child)?

Dear Fellow Parents & Friends,

Christos Anesti!

Fr. Constantine and I feel, especially in light of our new building complex coming to a conclusion soon, that we should begin immediately addressing the building up of the Body of Christ in the Hamptons.  We both believe that structures, no matter how big or beautiful, can only be complete when they are totally filled with our Church Family, i.e. grandparents, parents, children, sisters and brothers all.

We are calling a Parents Only meeting and reception for Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 7:00pm.   This will allow us to meet socially in our new facility and also inspire us to address new programs, curricula and initiatives for our young people.  We are concerned, as is evidenced in empty pews and new classroom desks, that today’s parents insist on giving our children everything our parents could not afford to give us and yet desist from giving them the priceless things of value that our parents did give us – – – our faith, culture and legacy.  We are inviting and encouraging you to take an active role in the spiritual and cultural formation of your children, and the children of our church family, before their spiritual life and cultural identity are lost.

Please r.s.v.p. to Fr. Constantine by June 9, by calling the church office or via email at frconstantine@kimisishamptons.org.  We look forward to seeing you on June 12.

Faithfully yours,

Fr. Alexander Karloutsos, Protopresbyter
