Tree Lighting and Youth Activities This Saturday, Dec 8

This Saturday, everyone is invited to join us this Saturday for our annual Tree Lighting.  The Festivities will begin a 5:00 PM as we gather around our Christmas Tree, sing carols, and watch as the the Christmas Tree lights up for the season.  Afterward, everyone is invited to the church basement for a community dinner and Christmas Cookies baked you the youth of our parish.

The GOYA Christmas Retreat will preceed the tree lighting, and the Theme for the retreat will be “What is a Manger?  Understanding the Christmas Story and God’s Plan for Salvation”  GOYA members (6th – 12th Grade) are asked to arrive at the church at 2:00 PM on Saturday.  This is an important opportunity for our GOYA members to push pause on the rush of the “Holiday Season”, and truly focus their hearts on the real reason for Christmas.  Please RSVP by calling the church office, by contacting George Gounelas, or on our GOYA Facebook page.

HOPE and JOY Christmas Cookie Baking will also take place on Saturday prior to the tree lighting. All of our HOPE and JOY members (Toddlers – 5th Grade) are invited to help bake and decorate Christmas Cookies for the Tree Lighting.  We’ll roll out the dough, cut the cookies, decorate them brightly with frosting, sprinkles and everything sweet, and then we will serve them up for the tree lighting.

Please RSVP for the above events no later than this Wednesday.  We look forward to seeing everyone there and wish every one a very merry and blessed Christmas!
